What is Onboarding?
Onboarding is the period of time, post-purchase, when TermSheet offers a regular cadence of consultations so that new customers have the skills to:
- Configure and manage their workspace and users
- Migrate current data and processes to TermSheet
- Begin to roll out of TermSheet to end users
Once the initial onboarding process is complete, TermSheet will continue to partner with our customers by providing:
- Access to support resources
- Best practices and recommendations
Onboarding Partnership
Before the Kickoff Call, we ask that you identify 1-5 onboarding champions who can attend every call and act as the responsible party to partner in driving the onboarding forward.
Onboarding Champions should have:
- Time allocated to the configuration and testing of the workspace as we develop processes and best practices together.
- A good understanding of the internal processes in place pre-TermSheet.
- Power to implement organizational change and hold internal teams accountable to adoption.
- We take the "Train the Trainer" approach which means that our goal is to equip the onboarding champions with the knowledge and skills to train other end users.
- Some technical aptitude
- While TermSheet is a low code/no code application, integrations and add-ins may require a level of comfortability using software, including Excel.

Onboarding Process
Typically, Onboarding will consist of:
- Kickoff Call - Discuss goals and an onboarding plan.
- Regular Calls - Training, consultation, and configuration workshops.
- Onboarding Homework - Champions will drive progress forward by completing configuration, running internal testing, and sharing feedback on recommendations provided.
- Graduation - Once we have reached the end of our onboarding plan, we can support you through end-user roll out and connect you with post-onboarding resources.
- Post Onboarding - Once you're fully onboarded, continue the momentum through regularly scheduled strategic conversations to learn more about best practices, get connected to new resources to support your growing teams, and dive into new features that translate into time saved in your day-to-day.
