Properties are the individual locations of the assets belonging to a deal or portfolio.
In TermSheet, Properties are defined as actual addresses or the individual locations that can be purchased.
Properties provide another level of granularity to deal or portfolio data.
💡Things to Consider
Properties are not turned on by default for all customers. To enable Properties, please reach out to support@termsheet.com
Similar to how deals have "Deal Layout Templates" that can be customized to help surface pertinent information, Properties also have Property Layout Templates that can be added or edited.
Adding/Editing a Property Layout Templates follows the same basic steps as adding/editing a deal layout.
Properties Overview
View Related Deals
A property can be related to multiple deals or portfolios. If a property is a part of a deal/portfolio that is underwritten but does not closed (as an example) the data around the property and deal are preserved in TermSheet so that if a new deal presents itself with the same property, the details of past deals can be referenced.
Add Views, Control Visible Columns, and Search and Filter
Create views to organize properties into lists.
Use the 👁️🗨️icon to enable and disable property fields as columns on the table.
Use the search bar to keyword search and filter the list of properties.
Properties are simply intended to provide greater flexibility around tracking data in the account. If this level of data management is too granular for the types of deals typically managed, the Properties tab should not be enabled (or can be hidden).
