A new feature released September 2025 updates how sections work within the structure of a task list, no longer existing as a separate, top-level layer but rather a property of Tasks/Key Dates.

New Structure
Sections will no longer be a standalone, top-level concept. Instead, they are being consolidated into a property of Tasks and Key Dates, functioning similar to a tag or label. All creation and management of Sections will now occur directly within the Task/Key Date creation and edit experience.
Sections will now be a field within Task / Key Date details panels as shown below

When a task/key date appears in multiple sections (as shown above), it functions as a single unified task—any updates made to the task will automatically reflect across all sections in which it is included.
Key Benefits
With Sections acting as flexible labels, users can easily filter tasks at the deal or object level to view specific subsets within task lists.
A single Task or Key Date can be assigned to multiple sections and will be managed as one unified item across all associated sections.
Teams can leverage Aggregated Tasks to filter and view all tasks associated with selected sections collectively, spanning multiple deals.
